American Idol Controversy?!?

This week on Fox's American Idol Anwar was booted when he failed to receive enough of America's votes. Only six contestants remain and they will battle it out for a contract... But this isn't the big American Idol news. There are numerous rumors circulating about judge Paula Abdul . Perhaps the most scandalous is the rumor insisting that Abdul carried on a relationship with past contestant Corey Clark. The former contestant insists that Abdul tried to keep him quiet by offering him $2 million to "fund his career". Next, magazines started saying that Abdul has a drug problem and her eating disorder has resurfaced. Only time will tell how much of the rumors are true and how much of it is just gossip. Either way, ABC has secretly been working on a huge Idol expose that may or may not air in the future. I look forward to checking that out.

I don't really see what the big deal is about this. I thought the audience voted for the contestants and I did not think that Paula Abdul had any real influence on the contestants' success. That's a good move by the guy though. Do you know if he actually took the money or not?
I'd think the drug rumors and eating disorder rumors would have a bigger impact on Abdul's career than a little fling with a contestant.
Finally people are talking about how insane Paula has been this season. It seems like shes wasted on every episode. It's kind of funny, but she seems to have serious problems. There is a special on primetime live on wed night called "Fallen Idol" about the scandal. Maybe add a link to the ABC program.
Thank god that creepy Constantine with his bedroom eyes has gotten the boot. Way to go America!

Did anyone get to watch the ABC show? I missed it because I forgot about it. But apparently they had phone messages from Paula to that guy?
I saw Paula on SNL this week basically making fun of herself for all this "controversy". Nice to see she is keeping her sense of humor about it. I mean who really cares if shes sleeping with contestants, just makes what has become a boring show a little more interesting.
I just saw another contestant come out and say that she thinks all the accusations are false.
Plus, apparently Paula gave that dude advice on which song to sing and everybody is acting like its a big scandal. I don't see why it is a big deal, he still has to sing it well or he will get voted off, no?
